Quick Start Guide - Sigma Computing Embedded Analytics for Confluence

This guide helps administrators and users quickly deploy and start using Sigma Computing Embedded Analytics for Confluence.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:

  1. Confluence Admin permissions to install the app.
  2. Admin or appropriate permissions in Sigma Computing to generate public embed codes.
  3. An active Confluence Cloud space where you can create pages.

Important

The app currently supports Public Embedding only. Secure embedding support is planned for a future release. See Sigma Computing Documentation for more details on embedding options.

Step 1. Installation

  1. Install Sigma Computing Embedded Analytics for Confluence from the Atlassian Marketplace on your Confluence instance.
  2. Once installed, you can find the app in the top-level Apps menu, under Manage apps.
  3. No additional administration configuration is required.

Step 2. Embed a Sigma Workbook in a Confluence Page

No global or space-level configuration is required. You can start embedding Sigma workbooks immediately after installation.

  1. Open the Sigma workbook you want to share. Click the down arrow next to the workbook name in the header, then select Share and export > Embedding.

  2. Select the Public tab and choose the content you want to generate a public embed path for (Entire Workbook, Chart, or Table).

  3. Copy the Embed Code or the Public Link. The app supports both formats.

  4. Create or edit a Confluence page. Type /sigma and select the Sigma Analytics macro from the dropdown menu. Inserting Sigma Macro

  5. The macro configuration panel will open on the right. Paste the Embed Code or Public Link you copied from Sigma into the URL field. Configuring Sigma Macro

  6. Close the configuration panel.

  7. Publish the page to view your embedded Sigma analytics. Live Sigma Graph
